GIRGENTI family reunion 2009

I was looking up information trying to find lakes to have get togethers at and came across this lake.My family used to go here for Tfal company picnics and we ALWAYS had a blast!!!!!On the link theres a weekend menu with prices.The admission price includes everything from all you can eat to water sports. We can order kegs through Capps or you can BYOB.I think this will be an excellent time for everyone,including the kiddies.I know it's not the usual bar atmosphere, which I love attending, but this will include all ages of our family and get the younger ones included in our memories and stories.They have some dates ope in late Aug and early Sept, so I wanted some feedback on if you guys would like to attend,we havent had a reunion this yr so LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!

Angelo and his broken arm

As many of you have heard, Angelo broke his arm. Not to worry, it was a minor "buckle fracture". The orthopedic Doctor said, had he been a bit older, and a bit "less active", he may not have even required a cast. But he got one. And it's purple.

If anyone would like to stop over to sign it for him, {he really gets a kick out of that", feel free to do so before September 3rd, that's when is comes off!

There is now a link to our Family tree. via Ancestry.com. Go to the Links icon and then Family tree. If you click on the arrow that comes up when you put your courser over a name, the tree will stay. If you click on a person it will go to that persons personal info. You will then have to hit family tree to get tree back.

Girgenti Family Reunion

Hello Bev/Al- we would definitely try to be there for a reunion. September 22 and/or 29 are bad for us but we're pretty open otherwise.

Hello EveryBody!

I was thinking.......[uh oh]

It's about time we had a Girgenti Family Reunion!

I thought it might be fun to have a "get together" type barbeque. Maybe at Cooper River Park, for old times sake. I remember "Serendipity Sundays" at Cooper River with Uncle Johnny and Uncle Tony ! I know Kristen and John do also, I'm sure. There are no more Serendipity Sundays, but the park is free, and there are playgrounds for the kids, and places to either have a picnic, or even cook on the grill.

Perhaps we could all bring some type of salads or snacks, etc. Whatever we feel like, or even just bring your own picnic lunch. There are so many options, and the best part is, we will all be outside, together, and it wont cost anything. No set times, just come when and if you can.

I was thinking of doing this maybe in late August, early September.

If anyone wants to get back to me with dates that are good for them, or dates that you know you wont be able to attend, that would be great. Then we can take it from there. Just post a comment , via the website....

Now that Uncle Tony has set up this website for all of us, let's take advantage of it, and get everyone together just for the hell of it!

Great news about Madeline's medical problem

Let's not forget the excellent news about Madeline's problem(former). We were all happy to hear that the recent tumor was not something serious.

I'm not sure of all the details, so maybe Madeline could post a little bit about what her condition was and the current status of everything.

I know i saw at least a couple people crying when you announced the great news at the dinner. You are very well loved Madeline.

Welcome to The Girgenti Web Site.

I hope that all family members use this site to stay in touch and keep everybody informed of any events, announcements or get togethers.

If you want to use The Girgenti Web Site, the first thing you need to do is register for a user id and password. You can do that by clicking the Membership link from either of the main menu bars near the top and bottom of every page. Then click on the registration link under the heading "New family member registration". Once you establish a membership, let me know and i will assign rights accordingly and you will be able to use the site.

Once you are registered as a family member, you will be assigned rights to upload photos for everybody to see, view and add events by date, view and add news items.

Eventually you will be able to use the forums for discussions and do some blogging.
